A magnificent piece of mid-century Portuguese heritage, c. 1950s.
This substantial cocktail band is crafted in rare 19.2k white gold - the traditional high-purity standard of Portugal.
Featuring two distinct rows of hand-set natural gemstones (4mm each stone), this ring balances the vivid green of earth-mined emeralds with the timeless brilliance of natural diamonds.
The vibrant emeralds contrast beautifully with the sparkle of the diamonds, creating a bold yet refined vintage statement piece.
The ring features a classic tiered design with elegant ribbed shoulders that taper into a solid, comfortable shank.
The ring has a substantial weight and sculptural profile typical of mid-20th-century European jewellery.
Great vintage condition - the diamonds are in excellent condition with no damage. As is common with natural emeralds of this age, there are minor signs of wear: one emerald has a small chip, one emerald has a tiny micro-chip, the centre emerald shows a light surface scratch (please refer to the photos). These do not detract from the vibrant colour or overall beauty of the ring and serve as a testament to its natural origin and history.
Hallmarks - three Portuguese hallmarks (one of which is "Ant" hallmark) are present at the back of the band.
