Victorian 12ct Gold Garnet and Emerald Double Cluster Ring, 1869

Discover a piece of 19th-century romance with this exquisite Victorian double-cluster ring. Crafted in warm 12ct yellow gold - a rare gold standard used only between 1854 and 1932 - this ring features two vibrant oval-cut garnets flanked by a delicate arrangement of natural green emeralds.

The shoulders are beautifully hand-engraved with a foliate/leaf motif that flows into a slender, comfortable band. 
This "Me and You" style (Moi et Toi) was a popular sentiment in the Victorian era, symbolising the union of two souls.

Two central, oval-cut garnets serve as the heart of the ring. They possess a deep, purple hue that glows with a magenta fire when caught by the light.
Nestled between and around the garnets are four vivid green emerald accents. In Victorian "Language of Stones," Emeralds represented hope and fidelity, while Garnets symbolised eternal friendship and trust.

Great antique condition - the stones show minor facet wear consistent with a century of love, adding to its authentic vintage character.

Hallmarks - fully hallmarked with the Anchor (Birmingham, England), the 12 .5 gold purity mark, and the date letter U (1869). It also bears the maker’s mark 'B&L' and has been further authenticated with modern Portuguese import hallmarks.
