Vintage golden colour metal necklace with three flies.
This beautiful and unique necklace was inspired by a true historical piece of art from Ancient Egypt: necklace of Ahhotep with Golden Flies.
In Ancient Egypt the fly symbolised tenacity, this ceremonial necklace given as award for valor in battle.
Necklace, with three pendants in the form of flies, was given to queen Ahhotep by her two sons Kamose and Ahmose in gratitude for her supportive role during the struggle for liberation against the Hyksos.
The golden colour is semi matt.
Great vintage condition - most probably never worn, as no any signs.
