An exquisite example of Victorian craftsmanship, this antique hand-sewn glass beaded purse, dating to circa 1880s, is a remarkable piece of wearable art. Featuring meticulously hand-sewn micro glass beads in a soft ivory tone, delicately arranged with scattered floral motifs in pastel pinks, blues, and greens.
The purse includes a later replacement strap (most probably c.1920s), thoughtfully matched in colour and style to complement the original design. The beaded handle, finished with beaded tassels, attaches via bone carved rings and adds both functionality and charm, while remaining in harmony with the historic character of the piece.
The body of the purse is entirely hand-sewn, with a gently gathered shape and retains its original silk lining. 
This purse is a true collector’s treasure - whether admired in a display, added to a historical costume collection, or simply appreciated as a testament to 19th century decorative arts.

Very good antique condition - the lining it teared in few places, however it is original and I didn't want to replace it to keep the purse in original state. On of the tassels has missing beads. Other than that no loose beads, or other defects.
