Antique Georgian flower cluster ring set in 9ct Gold, c. 1800s.

The ring is set with a ruby in the centre which is surrounded by a halo of pearls with a deep, green emerald on each shoulder. 
Along the sides is scrolling foliate, hand detailed to look like leaves.
Closed back of the ring typical for Georgian period.

This style was so popular from the 1800s onwards that you can imagine one of Jane Austin’s characters would have worn a similar style.

Georgian era was full of symbolism, each stone had it's ow meaning and message.

Western tradition views rubies among the most romantic of stones. They are seen to represent passion, love and desire.
The emerald is the sacred stone of the goddess Venus, It was thought to preserve love and has long been the symbol of hope. 
The natural pearl flower petals in the ring represent tears and capture the romance in our hearts.

Great antique condition - no missing stones, or metal broken areas. Some peel off at two pearl beads is present (please refer to the photos).

No hallmarks present.
