Charming and timeless, this vintage enamel patch box features a delicate hand-painted design with the French phrase "L'amour fait passer le temps" - "Love makes time pass." The lid is adorned with a sweet floral basket motif, surrounded by a garland of colourful blooms. The base is a soft robin's egg blue, all set in enamel.
Inner is fully enamelled in white.
Traditionally used in the 18th and 19th centuries to hold beauty patches or small keepsakes, these petite boxes now make lovely decorative accents or unique gifts.
This piece is ideal for holding tiny treasures like rings, pills, or sentimental mementos. A collectible item that adds a romantic French touch to any vanity or shelf.
Great antique condition - there is a small enamel chip at the back bottom side (please refer to the last photo), normal signs of wear consistent with age.
