A stunning silver Blackamoor ring in black and white enamels, also known as Venetian Moretto, c.1880s. Beautiful workmanship, meticulously detailed.
The turban is decorated with white swirls of enamel set with black enamel dots ( a little loss of the enamel).A central tiny Garnet stone is mounted above the forehead.
The band itself has a floral pattern.
A beautiful piece of wonderful quality and extreme rarity.
Very good antique condition - some loss of enamel, signs of wear consistent with age and use.
Hallmarks - were present initially on the outer back of ring, but erased due to age and use.
