Antique 19th Century French Lacquer Papier mâché Crumb Tray.
The Shell shaped tray is made of Papier mâché with a scalloped edge.The black background decorated with Japanese style scene in gold tonewith a lacquered finish.
The scene represent a beautiful noble lady feeding birds in the company of three men.
Originally presumed as a crumb tray it can be easily used as a serving or decoration tray nowadays.
Absolutely beautiful piece of art.
Good Antique condition - considering its age and delicate material it is made of, there are few chips and cracks (shown on the last photo).
